 RICHARD WOODY: Starting at The Group Rep in 2003, Woody has directed Gene Casey’s THEATRESONGS; Gene Casey, Suzanne Buhrer and Jan Casey’s musical MILAGRO!; Frances Mizrahi’s CLOSETS,; Phil Olson’s A NICE FAMILY GATHERING; Craig Alpaugh’s NEIGHBORHOOD CRIME WATCH; and Jeffrey Sweet’s BLUFF. Most recently, he directed Doug Haverty's NEXT WINDOW, PLEASE. He has also directed workshops of Linda Steinbaum’s FAT CHANCE and Jeremy Kehoe’s READY, AIM, YOU’RE FIRED, which were subsequently produced at Judith E’s NoHo Actors’ Studio. On a break from The Group Rep, Woody directed the L.A. Premiere of Yazmina Reza’s LIFE X 3 at the Elephant Asylum. Woody was a Theatical Agent for twenty years 1972-1992 and then produced & directed musicals and family theatre productions under the Casey/Woody Entertainment banner, touring Performing Arts Centers 1992-2000. Woody was a Board Member for three years, from 2005-2008, and has been Board President from 2009-2012. |
